Mauro is currently Distinguished Professor at Sapienza University of Rome and founder of LABSITA ( www.labsita.org) laboratory, as well as being president of AM-FM GIS Italia association (www.amfm.it) , he has been president of EUROGI (www.eurogi.org) , of scientific AGILE association ( www.agile-online.org) and he is currently member GAC of OGC (www.opengeospatial.org). Author of books, text-books,papers and articles internationally published, currently he acts as evangelist and advocate of SDIs ( Spatial Data Infrastructures) and related application and development fields, as well as he investigates GI technical and societal impact.
